Bill
Riker studied at Alfred University until
he graduated, with his B.F.A.,
Glass, in 1971. He continued his studies
at Rhode Island School of Design,
under Dale Chihuly, where he attained
his M.F.A., Glass/Sculpture. After
graduation in 1975 he then opened his
studio, Riker Art Glass, on Tingley
Street in Providence.
In 2002 Bill moved to his current
location on Curtis Street in East
Providence. At Riker Art Glass he
continues to expand by teaching
Continuing
Education classes for RISD, as well as
private classes. Whether it is hand
blown, slumped, or fused glass, he is an
accomplished artist with numerous
pieces featured in craft galleries, gift
shops, and private collections
throughout the country.
